combat class

Combat class offers a chance to compete safely in stand-up sparring, throws, takedowns, groundfighting, and Free Flow Fighting. Combat classes usually include the instruction of 3 combat-drill specific techniques—reserving the bulk of time each class to compete in a safe environment with others.

Effective self-defence involves live combat with others, and boy do these classes have a lot of combat!

CAN RYU JIU JITSU

Can Ryu classes are a classic Japanese Jiu Jitsu self defense class—combining striking, takedowns, ground game, and dirty fighting. We address single and multiple attackers, and stress self-reliance. These classes put traditional Japanese Jiu Jitsu techniques to use in a live setting.

Tuesdays and Wednesdays, 8 - 9pm

KICKS & THROWS

What its title lacks in subtlety, it makes up for in clarity! We divide the class into those two themes, working skills and drills to make your throwing and kicking game brilliant and downright scary - everyone's dream!

Wednesdays, 7 - 8pm

curriculum class

Curriculum classes offer a low-impact alternative to some of our more intense adults’ classes. These classes lean into biomechanically-friendly, highly-effective self-defense and away from hard throws and takedowns to reduce the chance of injury.

In other words, these classes are intended to keep you from going to work sore tomorrow and to make sure we can train without strain!

Thursdays, 8 - 9pm

Friday morning FIGHT CONTROL

Do you want to learn how to make the transition between striking and grappling? How to move from grappling to putting an opponent to the ground? How to defeat an opponent on the ground, and get safely back to your feet? How to get off the ground to continue the fight on your feet?

Friday mornings put our students in charge of a violent confrontation by teaching you to control where the fight takes place.

Fridays, 10 - 11am

Dojo Runs

As part of our commitment to being well-rounded martial artists and all-round healthier people, we lead local runs around the Tri-Cities area every Saturday. Every week, the Dojo Run crew will gradually increase the distance, elevation, and technical nature of the runs. All Dojo-affiliated adults are welcome, whether you’re a student, parent, or friend. Beginners welcome too—no one gets left behind.

Grab your vests, lace up your runners, and start your Stravas!

Saturdays, 9 - 10am

See you on the mats!
